Conditions We Treat

Sinusitis

Sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses become inflamed and swollen, causing congestion in the nasal passages, thick drainage, and pain and pressure in the face. When symptoms have persisted for over 3 months, the condition is called chronic sinusitis or chronic rhinosinusitis. Medical therapy may include nasal sprays, antibiotics, and corticosteroids. Sinus surgery has been shown to greatly improve symptoms and help resolve sinusitis in patients with which maximal medical therapy has failed.

Nasal Obstruction

Nasal obstruction can be caused by a variety of factors, including allergies or structural abnormalities in the nose, including a deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, or nasal polyps. Our team works closely with patients to understand the unique issue contributing to their stuffy nose and develops treatment plans that may include medical management or surgical intervention.

Deviated Septum

A nasal septal deviation is when the wall between the two nasal passages is crooked or off-center. This can cause breathing difficulties in the nose as well as contribute to other symptoms such as snoring or sleep apnea. Our surgeons use minimally invasive techniques, such as septoplasty, to correct this condition and help patients breathe more easily.

Nasal Polyps

Nasal polyps are noncancerous growths that form on the lining of the nasal passages that can cause nasal congestion and smell loss. They can cause discomfort, congestion, and difficulty breathing. Our team has fellowship-trained sinus surgeons (rhinologists) who are specialized in both medication management and surgical removal of nasal polyps (nasal polypectomy).
